Who we are. Scatter Brain Media is a freelance filmmaking and creative studio based in Hertfordshire, UK. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@scatterbrainstudio.co.uk.
What we collect. When you use our contact form we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, subject and message. We keep these only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss work with you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you explicitly ask us to.
Newsletter. If you sign up to my email list I store your email address for one purpose: sending you occasional updates. You only land on the list after clicking a confirmation link in a welcome email (a “double opt-in” — nobody can sign someone else up as a prank). Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that removes you immediately, and you can also unsubscribe any time by emailing hello@scatterbrainstudio.co.uk.
Cookies & analytics. This site keeps things simple: no advertising trackers, no cross-site cookies. Our hosting (Cloudflare) and email provider (Resend) process data on our behalf strictly to run the site and deliver messages — see cloudflare.com and resend.com for their policies.
Your rights. Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict its use. Email us at the address above and we'll sort it promptly. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with our answer.
Retention. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as they remain useful for our working relationship and no longer than we reasonably need them, after which they are deleted.
